The Embassy of Pakistan in Madrid, in collaboration with the City Council of Málaga, inaugurated the photographic exhibition Pakistan: A Culture to Discover, at the Cultural Space, Home Building – Ground Floor (calle Hilera, 8 in Málaga).
The exhibition was inaugurated by the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, along with the ambassador of Pakistan, Zahoor Ahmed. The event featured a special performance by the renowned Pakistani musician Saeed Khan, who resides in Málaga, adding an emotional musical dimension to the celebration of Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage.
On this occasion, the ambassador presented the mayor with a framed image of Muhammad Asad, the Pakistani-Austrian academic, writer, and diplomat who spent his last years in Mijas and is remembered as Pakistan’s first diplomat.
The exhibition, open to the public until August 14, offers a vibrant visual journey through the diverse cultural traditions of Pakistan, natural landscapes, historical sites, and everyday life. With a collection of photographs, the event highlights the country’s rich heritage, artistic expression, and scenic beauty, aiming to deepen cultural understanding and promote interpersonal ties between Pakistan and Spain.
The initiative is part of the photographic exhibitions that the Embassy conducts throughout Spain, aimed at promoting cultural diplomacy and fostering greater engagement with local communities in Spain.
