Who we are

Diplomacy News – The voice of Spanish Diplomacy in the world

Alberto Rubio

Director

He has maintained a constant relationship with the embassies since 2013, when founded The Diplomat in Spain, focusing on international economic relations. An objective that now, as head of DiplomacyNews, he aims to consolidate.

Began his work as a journalist in 1986, at COPE radio network, where for more than 12 years he worked in courts, politics and international news, as well as being a correspondent in London and Brussels. After signing for La Razón, he was diplomatic correspondent and head of International and National desks.

Throughout those 27 years he reported on events such as Northern Ireland’s peace negotiations, the story of Lady Di, the adoption of the euro, the Bosnian war and European and Ibero-American summits, travelling to more than 40 countries.

Juan David Latorre

Deputy Director

Born in Madrid in 1961, he graduated in Information Sciences from the Complutense University, directing his first professional steps to the graphic arts and communication services sector, and later dedicating a few years to working in the publishing sector.

Finally, he landed in the information of the diplomatic world, loving culture and convinced that through it, all countries can be united.

He spent twelve years describing cultural events and diplomatic receptions for the newspaper The Diplomat in Spain, organizing and devising monthly discussions of great interest for diplomats, which were attended in large numbers. In this new informative adventure, he hopes to do it even a little better. That is his endeavor.
