Lieutenant General Jerónimo Domínguez has taken office today as the director of the Higher School of the Armed Forces (ESFAS). From now on, he will be responsible for the training of senior military leaders. The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, closed the event, highlighting the importance of continuous training to keep the capabilities of the armed forces up to date.
Minister Robles expressed her best wishes to the new director, stating that his role will be essential to ensure that the military continues to be a reference. “Wherever there is a need, a problem, a commitment to peace; anywhere, by land, sea, air, and cyberspace, there are our men and women, without sparing efforts,” she emphasized.
Lieutenant General Domínguez, a fighter pilot with over 3,500 flight hours, has had a distinguished career in the Air and Space Force. He has served in various units, such as Wing 23 in Talavera la Real, Wing 15 in Zaragoza, and Wing 12 in Torrejón, where he was unit chief. He has also held important positions in the Air General Staff and has participated in several international missions in Bosnia/Kosovo and Gabon.
