At the event, major companies and interested institutions from Spain participated, and Ambassador Lim, during his speech, presented on the great capabilities that Korea has in the innovation ecosystem sector.
Plug and Play Tech Center is one of the largest open innovation platforms and startup accelerators in the world, which also operates as a global venture capital fund. Founded in 2006 in Silicon Valley by Saeed Amidi, the firm is noted for being an early investor in tech giants like Google, PayPal, Dropbox, N26, and LendingClub.
The company has a strong operational base in Spain since 2012. Its headquarters operates under the legal entity Plug and Play Platform Spain SL and is located in Paterna, province of Valencia. The company actively collaborates with entities in the environment such as Startup Valencia to catalyze the technological advancement of the region and connect local talent with global markets like Silicon Valley.
