During a visit to Kyiv, the First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, has signed agreements to mobilize 570 million euros in financial instruments that will facilitate the participation of Spanish companies in priority projects of the country.

In this context, Vice President Cuerpo, accompanied by a group of around fifty Spanish companies, seeks to bring them closer to the Ukrainian market and the country’s authorities. This trip has generated concrete results, with the signing of public and private agreements that promote Spanish investment in Ukraine. Among the announced measures, the expansion of a risk coverage line stands out, which will increase from 30 to 250 million euros, and which is crucial to secure Spanish companies against the risks associated with the war.

In addition, COFIDES (Spanish Company for Development Financing) has launched a line of up to 100 million euros to support investment projects of the Spanish private sector, focused on strategic sectors such as defense, energy, and infrastructure. A credit line of 20 million euros has also been established, in collaboration with Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine, aimed at small Ukrainian companies working with Spanish companies. With these actions, the Government of Spain seeks to consolidate the presence of its companies in the reconstruction process and strengthen economic ties with Ukraine.
