The new tool, already operational in several international markets, combines business intelligence, specialized advice, and global connections to support Spanish companies in their international expansion.
Internationalization continues to be one of the main growth vectors for Spanish companies, especially in a context marked by market diversification and the search for new business opportunities. With this goal, Banco Santander has launched in Spain Navigator Global, a digital platform designed to support companies in all phases of their international expansion.
The new solution reinforces the entity’s commitment to international business and aims to become a reference point for those companies looking to operate in new markets with greater security, access to specialized information, and local support. As Santander highlights, this is the first time a financial entity has developed a comprehensive tool capable of concentrating in one platform advisory services, market intelligence, business connections, and financing solutions aimed at international activity.
The launch comes after Santander financed in 2025 foreign trade operations worth 25.4 billion euros, supporting 190,000 Spanish companies. These figures consolidate the bank’s role as one of the main financial partners for companies operating outside national borders.
Three pillars to facilitate international expansion
Navigator Global is structured around three main service areas: Market, Plan, and Connect.
The Market section offers global data analysis, sector information, and local knowledge to help companies identify destinations with the greatest growth potential. The goal is to facilitate decision-making through information on demand, buyer behavior, and specific opportunities by market.
On the other hand, Plan provides roadmaps and personalized action plans to address key aspects of any internationalization process, such as regulation, logistics, operational costs, or entry strategy into new countries.
Finally, the Connect area seeks to connect companies with buyers, distributors, specialized advisors, and verified service providers. The platform has more than 300 approved suppliers and a network of over 10,000 international connections, aimed at reducing risks and accelerating implementation in new markets.
A global network of business support
The deployment of Navigator Global in Spain is part of an international strategy presented by Santander at the end of 2025 and is already operational in countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States. The entity plans to progressively extend the platform to all markets in which it operates.
In addition to relying on the bank’s international presence, the initiative includes collaborations with public bodies, governments, and chambers of commerce to strengthen the ecosystem of support for exporting companies. Santander has also begun to establish alliances with local financial entities in countries where it does not have direct presence. An example is Malaysia, where the platform was launched alongside MBSB Bank.
Among the most notable features of Navigator Global are the identification of business opportunities through global trend analysis, access to market intelligence, and specialized advice on matters such as taxation, logistics, or local regulations, as well as the possibility of activating financing solutions tailored to the needs of each phase of the internationalization process.
Navigator Global reflects a growing trend in the field of economic diplomacy: the need to build collaboration ecosystems that facilitate business presence in increasingly complex and competitive markets.
In this sense, the platform aims to act as a bridge between companies, institutions, and local experts, helping to reduce some of the barriers that traditionally hinder international expansion, such as regulatory uncertainty or the identification of reliable business partners.
With this launch, Santander reinforces its digitalization strategy and expands its service offerings for companies, incorporating a proposal that transcends traditional financing and places internationalization at the center of its support model for the productive fabric.
