The Ministry of the Interior has launched the Unified Command Post (PMU) to coordinate security and civil protection devices, ensuring attention to emergencies that may arise during the solar eclipse.

This astronomical phenomenon can be observed in its entirety in various areas of the Peninsula, attracting hundreds of thousands of people this Wednesday.

The PMU has been established at the National Emergency Monitoring and Coordination Center (CENEM) and has the collaboration of teams from the Secretary of State for Security. Its objective is to ensure effective coordination and comprehensive monitoring of the event, which is expected to generate a large influx of citizens in different parts of the country.

In order to monitor the situation before, during, and after the eclipse, the PMU will employ a technological tool specifically designed for this event. This platform will allow for an updated view of the situation in real time, facilitating the supervision of the operation and communication among all the involved agencies. Authorities have urged the population to follow official recommendations for safe observation and to take precautions to avoid forest fires in areas of high influx.
