With the support of the Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), in partnership with Proimágenes Colombia and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, four Spanish production companies participated in the 17th edition of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM), held in the Colombian capital from July 6 to 10.
The Spanish production companies —Mosaic Producciones, Mr. Miyagi Films, Minded Factory, and Playlab Films— participated in the Project Presentations initiative, where they enjoyed, with the support of the ICAA, a specific pitch and promotion space for their projects in development within the official market program, as well as an individualized professional agenda, as reported on its website by the Spain-Colombia Council Foundation.
Additionally, the Deputy Director General of Promotion and International Relations of the ICAA, Camilo Vázquez Bello, participated in a talk titled “Co-producing with Spain” that he shared with Gemma Vidal, producer at Atresmedia, and Estephania Bonnet, from Playlab Films.
The aim of the panel was to discuss the mechanisms that exist to promote co-production with other countries, as well as to share some experiences and ideas around the technical and artistic requirements needed to access such investment vehicles.
BAM is the most important audiovisual market in Colombia and one of the main platforms in the region for discovering Latin American talent and generating co-production alliances.
This market will celebrate its 17th edition in 2026 and consolidates as a key meeting point for producers, directors, screenwriters, sales agents, distributors, and platforms from all over the world.
