Mozambique, strategic market: innovation and vision for the future

Tomorrow Tuesday starting at 4 PM, the Cámara de Comercio of Madrid (Plaza de la Independencia, 1) presents the event Mozambique, strategic market: innovation and vision for the future. Registration at this link.

An opportunity to learn about the business and investment opportunities that this African country offers, a transforming market, with major projects in energy, infrastructure, natural resources, transportation, logistics, and international connectivity.

Mozambique is consolidating as a strategic destination for international investment, with GDP growth forecasts of 3.4% in 2026 and 4.1% in 2027, and a project agenda aimed at diversifying the economy and strengthening key sectors.

The country promotes large-scale initiatives in energy, infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and natural resources, generating new opportunities for Spanish companies interested in African markets with high development potential.

The objective of this day, aimed at companies looking to anticipate new opportunities for investment, cooperation, and sustainable growth in Southern Africa, is to provide a practical view of the business and investment opportunities in Mozambique, its legal framework, tax benefits, investment protection, industrial property, and keys to approaching a market with high-impact projects.

Among the most notable projects is the Mphanda Nkuwa hydroelectric project, with an estimated investment of 6.4 billion USD and a generation capacity of 1,500 MW, enough to supply more than three million homes, with a forecasted operational start in 2031.

Likewise, the Coral Norte FLNG project, with a planned investment of 7.2 billion USD, will allow the production of 3.55 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually, reinforcing Mozambique’s role in the international energy market.

After opening remarks by Elsa Salvadores Janssen, Deputy Manager of the Cámara de Comercio of Madrid, and Eugénio Agostinho Langa, Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique, the day will proceed with this program:
