The ambassador of Palestine, Husni Abdel Wahed, received a plaque of gratitude and recognition from the president of the Hispano-Arab Intercultural Circle (CIHAR), Abdo Tounsi, “for his valuable dedication and collaboration in favor of interculturality.”
The event, which took place last Thursday, July 2, in the honored guest’s office at the Palestinian Embassy, unfolded with enormous cordiality and familiarity. The conversation had moments of great complicity around culture and the importance of cultural diplomacy in the relations between Spain and the Arab world, highlighting the historical and sociocultural ties.
“The character of the Spanish people,” expressed Ambassador Husni Abdel Wahed, “is what captivates me the most about Spain, sociable and friendly, I love their treatment. Moreover, Spain is a unique country in reserving and preserving the universal culture that unites the Arab world and Spain.”
After the government of Pedro Sánchez recognized the Palestinian State on May 28, 2024, Husni Abdel Wahed was the first ambassador of that country to present Credentials to King Felipe VI on September 17 of that same year.
