Next August 31 at 7 PM, on the occasion of the Romanian Language Day, the Instituto Cultural Rumano (Plaza del Cordón, 1, lower right) invites you to celebrate, in its Gallery, a language that inspires, moves, and finds new forms of expression through art and music. Free entry.
The evening will feature the inauguration of the painting exhibition Flowers. Signs of Silence, by Anca Medrea, and a lyrical recital by soprano Alexandra Tarniceru, accompanied on piano by Andrea Cârstea, in a delicate dialogue between painting and music that celebrates the richness, sensitivity, and expressive power of Romanian culture.
Anca Medrea’s work traverses between lyrical abstraction and landscapes of great poetic intensity, inviting the viewer to delve into a universe where color, light, and matter evoke emotions, memories, and that which remains beyond words. In her most recent series, the plant world – flowers, leaves, and forms suspended between heaven and earth – becomes a visual language that invites contemplation.
Graduated in Philology from Babeș-Bolyai University, Anca Medrea began her artistic career in Belgium in 2007. After several years dedicated to watercolor and her training at the RHOK Academy in Brussels, she developed a unique language in acrylic painting, closely linked to movement, gesture, and dance.
