Unión Europea y el mercado de capitales

The Fundación Alternativas (39 Don Ramón de la Cruz Street, 1st Left) presents next Tuesday, May 26 at 11 a.m. a debate on the European Union and the capital market.

The Draghi and Letta reports place special emphasis on one of the challenges that the Union still faces to achieve economic integration, which is one of its fundamental objectives: a European-sized capital market. It is an essential element required to address the financing of the investments needed for the digital and ecological transitions. Because capital savers within the European Union have a national scope and there is no banking union of the necessary size to meet the stated objectives. This is a simple task, but it is within the program of the European institutions in the current legislature and something to consider for the approval of the Union budget for 2028-2034.

The debate will feature José Manuel Campa, former president of the European Banking Authority and professor at IESE Business School, and Diego López Garrido, executive vice president of the Fundación Alternativas. To attend the event, it is essential to register at this link. It is also possible to follow the event on YouTube.
