A Spanish citizen with dual nationality died in the earthquake in Colombia, in which twelve Spaniards remain missing, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this Thursday.
In total, the number of victims increased to 273 and while the injured rise to 3,824, according to official figures. The earthquake, which had its epicenter in the town of San José del Palmar, in the department of Chocó, also leaves 377 missing, 40,753 affected families, 12,584 destroyed homes and 74,873 damaged.
In addition, the European Union has allocated two million euros in aid for the victims and the Government of Spain another million. The UN is also proposing a series of aids to mitigate the effects of the disaster.
