The Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030, together with the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, has launched a new initiative aimed at making the extraordinary administrative regularization process more accessible for migrants already residing in Spain.
This measure focuses especially on whether due to not mastering Spanish, not being familiar with administrative and legal language, or due to situations of intellectual disability and low levels of literacy.
In order to guarantee the right to regularization, the Government has developed a document in Easy Reading that provides clear and accessible information about who can benefit from the process, the steps they must follow, the submission deadlines, and the necessary documents. Additionally, a video in sign language has been created to ensure that everyone has access to this essential information.
This effort, driven by the Ministry of Social Rights and the Ministry of Inclusion, aligns with the Global Compact for Migration of the United Nations, which urges States to provide accurate and accessible information at all stages of migration. To further facilitate this process, a specific website has been enabled where migrants can find all the necessary information, start the regularization process, and make inquiries.
