This unforgettable work tells how on his birthday, Prince Siegfried receives the news that at the next ball he must choose a wife. By the shores of a mysterious lake, he meets the beautiful princess Odette, enchanted by the evil Rothbart. He invites her to the next palace ball, where by mistake he swears his love to Odile, Rothbart’s daughter. Aware of the deception, he fights a battle in honor of his love.
