Spain carries out the sixth evacuation of injured Palestinian children from Gaza

The 101 evacuees will arrive at the Torrejoz de Ardoz airbase and will be distributed among various healthcare centers where they will be treated for various injuries and pathologies

The Ministry of Health has carried out a new evacuation of injured and sick Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip, organizing the transfer of 20 minors and 81 family members to hospitals in Spain.

This operation is carried out in coordination with several ministries, including Defense and Foreign Affairs, and aims to care for these patients who have suffered injuries due to Israeli attacks or suffer from various pathologies.

The 101 evacuees will arrive at the Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base, after being transferred from the border between Israel and Jordan. Teams from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Doctors Without Borders are involved in the care and transfer of the patients. Among the minors, there are cases of traumatic injuries, nephrological pathologies, ophthalmological issues, congenital heart diseases, esophagitis, hydrocephalus, and metabolic diseases.

The operation includes a plane from the Air and Space Army, with a specialized medical team on board to ensure the health and safety of the evacuees. In addition, the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration, along with the NGO Accem, will take care of the comprehensive support for the family members, providing accommodation, food, and psychological and legal support. This is the sixth humanitarian evacuation organized by Spain in the last year and a half, as part of the Medical Evacuation procedure, MEDEVAC.
