This morning at 11 a.m., the Real Fábrica de Tapices (Fuenterrabía street, 2) will hold an informational breakfast to present the restoration process of three Turkish knot rugs belonging to the Teatro Real of Madrid.
The three rugs were made in 1997 in the workshops of the Real Fábrica de Tapices, where they were designed and woven exclusively for the Teatro Real.
These are unique pieces, customized with the logo of the Teatro Real and that of the Royal Tapestry Factory, conceived to be part of the most representative spaces of the theatre.
During the meeting, attendees will be able to learn firsthand about the restoration process of these rugs, the different phases of the intervention, and the techniques used by the specialists of the Royal Tapestry Factory to ensure their conservation. Additionally, the project leaders will provide statements and attend to the media.
Miguel Ángel Vargas, Production Director of the Real Fábrica de Tapices, and Nuria Gallego, Director of Sustainability, Accessibility, and Infrastructure of the Fundación Teatro Real will participate.
