The film tells the story of Xiang Tenghui, a disillusioned middle-aged man who guides a group of children to overcome the barriers of fate and find a path in life. Through teaching boxing and martial arts, his goal is to give them a chance, hope, and a way to overcome the harsh barriers of their reality. However, as the children progress, the media exposure of their training and past fights generates public outrage, unleashing a network of conflicting opinions that jeopardizes their entire future.
The film was a massive phenomenon in China, grossing over 304 million dollars and firmly positioning itself in the historical ranking of the country’s highest-grossing films.
