The Tourism Data Space (LINX), an initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, is now available for companies, destinations, universities, and technological centers. This space allows for the secure and controlled exchange of data, following European standards, with the aim of improving management, developing new services, and promoting innovation projects based on the information generated by such data.
Developed by SEGITTUR and financed with European Next Generation funds, this platform is part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), and is included within the services of the Smart Destinations Platform. Data spaces are crucial for various economic sectors, as they transform isolated data into shared and useful resources, while ensuring security and control for those who generate them.
The Tourism Data Space reinforces innovation in the sector, positioning data as an essential element to increase the competitiveness of the tourism model. Additionally, it allows entities to maintain sovereignty over their information through a federated scheme that guarantees control of their data. Users can access a data catalog through a public website, facilitating the search for information by geographical location or tourism categories, and each data product includes a complete description for better understanding.
