Khobragade highlighted that International Yoga Day, an initiative of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has become a global movement. Referring to this year’s theme: ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’, the ambassador emphasized “the importance of yoga as a tool to promote unity and harmony around the world.”
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid, Luis Fernando Martín Izquierdo. Once again, the large presence of attendees highlighted the growing popularity of yoga in Spain and around the world.
