The economic outlook and its influence on the Spanish political situation was the topic of the Meeting organized by DiplomacyNews and the Association of Foreign Diplomats (ADE) at the Hyatt Regency Hesperia Hotel in Madrid, with the head of Economics at Onda Cero Radio, Ignacio Rodriguez Burgos, as the speaker.

Rodríguez Burgos, during his speech, accompanied by the director of DiplomacyNews, Alberto Rubio.

Before about fifty foreign diplomats, Rodríguez Burgos offered a broad view of the effects that the economy has had and has on Spanish politics and regarding the options of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, to renew his mandate. A difficult situation, as reflected in the polls, but not strictly impossible.

Following the initial presentation by the economic specialist, there was an interesting question and answer session in which attendees were interested in multiple details about the Spanish economy and other current issues related to the upcoming elections.

Ignacio Rodríguez Burgos is one of the most recognized journalists specialized in Economics. Winner of the VI KPMG/Rosa del Río Economic Journalism Award, he holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University. He began working in economic information in 1992. He moved from Cade SER to participate in the founding of Onda Cero. He currently also collaborates with La Razón and the television station La Sexta, without neglecting his participation in the flagship programs of Onda Cero: Más de Uno, with Carlos Alsina, and La Brújula, with Rafa Latorre.

The DiplomacyNews Meetings are held approximately once a month and their objective is to discuss, in a confidential environment, matters of politics, economics, and Spanish society that are of interest to foreign diplomats stationed in Madrid.

The next Meeting, of which complete information will be provided in DiplomacyNews, will be held in September.
