The Embassy of the Dominican Republic and Casa América present next Thursday, July 16, in the Simón Bolívar Room of the cultural center the XVI edition of the School Merit Award 2025-2026.
This School Merit Award was created by the Dominican Embassy to recognize academic excellence, effort, and civic values of students of Dominican origin residing in Spain. In its XVI edition (school year 2025-2026), this recognition distinguishes young people who have excelled in their outstanding academic performance and exemplary behavior.
Beyond the award ceremony, this initiative seeks to strengthen students’ ties with the Dominican Republic, providing them the opportunity to know the country from a broader and enriching perspective.
As part of the program, the awardees undertake a cultural and educational trip where they visit various public, educational, and cultural institutions, allowing them to firsthand understand the functioning of the main national entities, appreciate the Dominican historical and cultural heritage, and strengthen their connection with their roots, their identity, and the knowledge of their country of origin.
