Last Tuesday, the General Consulate of Ecuador in Madrid (Alenza street, 1) presented the photographic exhibition Ecos de Identidad, a prominent initiative of the Vice Presidency of the Republic of Ecuador, María José Pinto.

Through images that reflect the landscapes, culture, traditions, and diversity of Ecuador, this exhibition brings the country closer to the Ecuadorian community abroad and allows projecting the richness of its identity to the world.

The General Consulate of Ecuador invites you to explore the exhibition during your visit to the Consulate and to discover, through each image, different faces, landscapes, traditions, and expressions that are part of Ecuadorian identity.

The consular office of the General Consulate of Ecuador in Madrid is the only one in the world that hosts this exhibition.

Likewise, last Tuesday the General Consulate of Ecuador recognized Alberto Enríquez Ortega, for his outstanding career in international motorcycling and for proudly carrying the colors of his country.

“His talent, discipline, and dedication, reflected in his recent victories in the Latin Cup 2026, held in Chile and Argentina, constitute an example for new generations,” highlights the Ecuadorian consular office.

Yesterday Wednesday, the Ecuadorian General Consulate recognized the outstanding work of Ñukanchik Ecuador, under the direction of Juan Carlos Huaraca Aguay, and Andinamarka Ecuador, directed by Edison Fernando Pilco, for their commitment to the dissemination of music, dance, roots, and identity in Europe of the South American country.

With an important cultural tour through Europe, these artists have taken the name of Ecuador to stages in Portugal, Galicia, and Tenerife, sharing with audiences and groups from different countries the richness of our traditions.

This recognition from the General Consulate also represents a tribute to all Ecuadorian artists who, far from our land, “keep our roots alive. Because behind every dance, every instrument, every costume, and every song there is a story that speaks of who we are,” affirm the General Consulate.
