In the context of the International Day of Multilateralism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain has reiterated its firm support for the principles of the United Nations Charter, covering critical situations from Ukraine to Gaza.

This commitment extends to the need for adequate funding for international organizations such as the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the World Food Programme, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), among others.

Furthermore, as a symbol of its dedication to multilateralism, Spain hosts various headquarters of international organizations, including the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, and the United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe. It also has a headquarters of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), highlighting its role in promoting international cooperation.

The country also stands out for its initiatives in defense of Human Rights and sustainable development, such as the III Women, Peace and Security Plan and the Multilateral Policy Strategy for Sustainable Development. The upcoming V Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy, scheduled for June 2 and 3, 2026, is another example of its commitment to diplomacy that fosters peace and effective cooperation in the international arena.
