Felipe VI and Alberto II conmemorate 150 years of relations Spain-Monaco

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the opening of the first diplomatic mission between Spain and Monaco, King Felipe VI held a meeting at the Palace of Zarzuela with Prince Albert II of Monaco.

After a lunch, in the afternoon, the Kings along with the Princes of Monaco, Alberto and Charle visited the Villanueva pavilion of the Royal Botanical Garden-CSIC, the exhibitions: 8th Forum of Monaco Artists and Monaco and Spain: five centuries of shared history.

Prince Albert II of Monaco also had a meeting with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez. These exhibitions, promoted by the Embassy of Monaco in our country, aim to highlight the historical, cultural, and diplomatic ties that have united both nations over time, offering a perspective on a friendship that transcends geographical borders.

The Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in Spain, Catherine Fautrier-Rousseau, accompanied the monarchs at all times during the development of the diplomatic meeting.
