The diplomatic official Andrea Martínez, second secretary of the Embassy of Paraguay, was distinguished as ‘outstanding student’ during the graduation ceremony of the Master’s Degree in Permanent Training in Diplomacy and International Relations 2025-2026, taught by the Escuela Diplomática de España, held on June 3, in Madrid.

According to the Paraguayan Embassy, “this distinction constitutes a recognition of her commitment and academic performance, and highlights the training and professional preparation of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Paraguay, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

It is worth noting that this program is considered a reference in the training of diplomats, analysts, and experts in international relations, and annually brings together professionals from various countries.

In recent years, the Embassy points out, several Paraguayan diplomats have studied at this prestigious Escuela Diplomática de España, dependent on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, which reflects the importance that the National Government places on continuous training and the professionalization of the diplomatic career, fundamental pillars for strengthening Paraguayan foreign policy.

The achievement was celebrated by the Paraguayan community in Spain and by professionals in the diplomatic field, who highlighted the importance of continuing to gain spaces of academic excellence in international scenarios.

Although it only offers this official master’s degree, the Escuela Diplomática de España complements its activity with other programs such as continuous training courses for the Foreign Service, courses for foreign diplomats, and preparation modules for competitive exams.

The Master’s Degree in Permanent Training in Diplomacy and International Relations responds to the objective of the Escuela Diplomática to be the state reference center in the training of analysts and specialists in international relations and international politics in Spanish. With a consolidated tradition, the Master’s offers these subjects to postgraduate students, both Spanish and foreign, so that they can complete their academic training.

Likewise, this official Master’s degree provides students with the appropriate tools to successfully achieve the development of their professional future within the framework of national Diplomatic Services, International Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, and private entities in the international sphere.
