The author has taken as the starting point of this novel the juxtaposition of two diametrically opposed parallel lives: the comfortable life of a Spanish boy versus that of a Palestinian boy who barely survives in the midst of the Gaza war.

The author presents this novel as a personal challenge, his obsession with the tragic consequences provoked by the military confrontations that follow in the world has led him to approach the thorny theme of war from its most human side.
