The author has taken as the starting point of this novel the juxtaposition of two diametrically opposed parallel lives: the comfortable life of a Spanish boy versus that of a Palestinian boy who barely survives in the midst of the Gaza war.
Through the magical realism of some “living dreams,” both worlds intersect, provoking situations of great narrative tension. Vibrant moments unfold in which both the main characters and secondary figures navigate a climate of conflicting passions.
In its pages is the background of issues such as injustice, death, indifference to someone else’s pain, love, corruption and hope; a cocktail full of attractions for any reader eager for emotions. With the tool of a fantastic utopia, Juanjo Lagares, graduate in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and former director of advertising at the El Corte Inglés between 1975 and 2009, confronts the consciousness of the human being to his own dignity as a person. The author presents this novel as a personal challenge, his obsession with the tragic consequences provoked by the military confrontations that follow in the world has led him to approach the thorny theme of war from its most human side.
