The Spanish capital will host from September 14 to 18 for the sixth time the Centroamérica Cuenta Festival, a platform for dialogues that seeks exchange, critical thinking, and new perspectives on the different issues of our time.
This new edition will feature prominent voices from literature, culture, and journalism from Ibero-America.
The programming of Madrid 2026 is structured around themes that traverse our current reality, addressed from multiple voices and disciplines, such as literature and memory, institutionalism in Ibero-America, fantastic and horror literature, democracy and freedom of expression, new ways of storytelling, and journalism from exile.
The inauguration will take place on Saturday, September 14 at 7 PM at the Instituto Cervantes in Madrid, with the presence of its director, Luis García Montero. The programming for this edition can be consulted on the website of the event.
