Until the next July 31, the China Cultural Center in Madrid (General Pardiñas Street, 73) presents the photographic exhibition National Parks and Natural Conservation Areas of China. Free entry.
Following the success of the photographic exhibitions Moments (2024) and Habitat (2025), the China Cultural Center presents this year the third show of this series, which has been selected as a guest venue under the PHotoESPAÑA 2026 program.
The exhibited works come entirely from national parks and nature reserves in China. Through wide panoramas, they reveal the grandeur of natural landscapes, while close-ups capture the richness of wildlife in extraordinary detail. They bring together some of the most pristine natural environments, protected species of incalculable value, and the sensitive gaze of the photographers who have managed to immortalize these unique moments.
The creation of national parks and nature reserves reflects humanity’s firm commitment to the protection of ecosystems and the conservation of biodiversity, a task of great relevance both for the present and for future generations.
Currently, China has five national parks and nearly five hundred state-level nature reserves. In recent years, the country has continued to actively promote the construction and expansion of these protected areas, whose number continues to grow. Thanks to effective and sustained protection, these places have also become privileged destinations for numerous nature photographers in search of territories yet to be discovered.
A great photograph can convey more than a thousand words. Through these images, the public will be able to appreciate the continuous improvement of the natural environment and the recovery of numerous rare species, achievements that are the result of a collective and constant effort. The exhibition brings together some of the most representative scenes of these protected spaces: forests, prairies, deserts, mountains, rivers, lakes, and wetlands, as well as the flora and fauna that inhabit them. Many of the photographs have been awarded in prestigious international nature photography competitions, and the vast majority are being presented to the public for the first time.
This exhibition is organized by the China Cultural Center in Madrid, the China Tourism Office in Spain and Megrez Photo Club.
