The ambassador of Argentina, Wenceslao Bunge Saravia, made a visit to Palma de Mallorca where he met with the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez Llabrés, and with the president of the government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens.

The Argentine ambassador also took the opportunity to have lunch with local political authorities and Argentine business leaders in the islands, where they could exchange ideas on how to enhance the ties between Spain and Argentina with a focus on the Balearic Islands.

In addition, he visited the Argentine Consulate in Palma de Mallorca, where he was able to talk with members of the local community and hold a meeting with representatives from the university sector, sports, and Argentine entrepreneurs based in Palma.

Finally, he visited the streaming channel Moasis TV, where he gave an interview in which he explained the direction of President Milei’s government and the actions being taken from the Embassy and the Consulates with the aim of boosting Spanish investments in Argentina.

Likewise, last Monday the commemoration of the 176th anniversary of the death of General José de San Martín took place in the city of Cádiz, with a tribute in the Plaza de San José de Cádiz, where the monument to the Father of the Fatherland is located.

The city of Cádiz was a key point in San Martín’s formative years. There he began his military career and acquired the experience, discipline, and strategic vision that he would later put to the service of Argentine independence.

The figure of the Liberator, General José de San Martín, reflects the deep historical, cultural, and human ties that unite Argentina and Spain.

The event was attended by authorities from the Cádiz City Council and the Argentine Consulate in Cádiz, as well as members of the Sanmartiniano Institute and the Argentine House.
