Digital Course on Hospitality via WhatsApp from UN Tourism

Delivered entirely through WhatsApp, UN Tourism launches the Digital Course on Hospitality, a training initiative aimed at professionals, entrepreneurs, and SMEs in the hospitality and tourism sector.

The course, which is presented for the first time in Spain and represents a significant advance in digital education, aims to develop practical skills in business management, customer service, and promotion of hospitality and tourism businesses. Driven in collaboration with Mahou San Miguel Foundation, the program is supported by the entity’s extensive experience in the sector in Spain. The registration period is now open, with an initial offer of 2,500 places for residents in Spain, completely free to expand access to training in the sector.

Participants who complete all modules will receive a joint certificate from UN Tourism and Mahou San Miguel Foundation. The course is a flexible and recognizable learning experience, especially suitable for people with little available time or who prefer mobile formats.

The program is structured in brief lessons that address daily management, digital marketing, customer loyalty, and sustainability, along with practical approaches to local products and experiences.

Aimed at professionals, employees, and entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector, the course reinforces management practices and customer service while promoting innovation and the incorporation of sustainable practices, strengthening the visibility of local products and experiences throughout the sector.

Shaikha Al Nuwais, Secretary General of UN Tourism, stated that “innovation in education is essential to face the challenges currently facing tourism. We consider this initiative a turning point in the way skills are developed in the sector. By offering practical and accessible training through a tool used daily by millions of people, immediate and applicable learning is facilitated, reinforcing local ecosystems and enhancing the visitor experience.”

All information about the program, its contents, and the registration process is available on the website of UN Tourism.
