The Tourism Data Space LINX, driven by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, has positioned itself as one of the ten most relevant data spaces in Spain, reaching seventh place among nearly one hundred existing in the country.
This information comes from a report prepared by the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA), which depends on the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Function.
This Space not only represents a significant advance for Spain in the development of shared data infrastructures, but also seeks to promote innovation and improve the competitiveness of the tourism sector. Currently, more than 130 companies and municipalities have joined this initiative, evidencing its relevance for both the public and private sectors.
With a total of 276 datasets published, the Tourism Data Space covers a variety of topics, from travel services and accommodations to demand analysis and local commerce. Additionally, it includes data on tourists’ interactions with points of interest and their satisfaction, which will allow companies and tourist destinations to make more informed and strategic decisions, thus optimizing their services and business models.
