5ª edición de ‘Francia está en pantalla’, festival de cine francés contemporáneo

The Instituto Francés of Spain will celebrate from today until June 11 the fifth edition of France is on screen, the contemporary French film festival in Madrid.

For four days, the public will be able to discover a carefully curated selection of French premieres, participate in meetings with directors and actors, and attend professional activities dedicated to the French and Spanish film industry.

The 2026 edition will feature three unprecedented national premieres and a documentary not yet released in Spain, accompanied by the exceptional presence of renowned directors and talents from European cinema. Among the guests stands out Rodrigo Sorogoyen, godfather of 2026 at the Instituto Francés of Spain and one of the most relevant figures in contemporary Spanish cinema, who will participate in a meeting around the documentary Il était une fois… As bestas, directed by Pierre-Olivier François.
