Concierto Viva el amor

On the occasion of the Shavuot holiday, the Centro Sefarad-Israel in Madrid presents next Tuesday, May 19 at 6 PM the recital Long Live Love, a concert featuring soprano Sivan Rotem and pianist Marcelo Cohen Rajmil, which offers a musical journey through different cultural traditions centered around the theme of love.

Soprano Sivan Rotem, with a recognized international career, and pianist Marcelo Cohen Rajmil perform a program that integrates Israeli and Sephardic songs along with works from the Spanish and Argentine repertoire. The repertoire includes compositions by authors such as Carlos Gardel, Carlos Guastavino, Naomi Shemer, Sasha Argov, Enrique Granados, Xavier Montsalvatge and Fernando Obradors, among others.

The concert, organized together with the Embassy of Israel, proposes a dialogue between languages, cultures, and musical sensibilities, highlighting a shared heritage from a contemporary perspective. The proposal unfolds in an intimate format, where the voice and piano act as vehicles of emotion and memory.

Shavuot is one of the most important holidays in the Jewish calendar that commemorates the giving of the Torah and the Ten Commandments to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai. It is celebrated exactly seven weeks after Passover (the Jewish Easter), which gives it its name: Shavuot means “weeks” in Hebrew.

Prior registration is required at this link. Limited spots.
