The Instituto Cervantes (Barquillo street, 4) will receive tomorrow Wednesday, at 12:30 PM in the Caja de las Letras a legacy from the actor, theater, television, and film director José Sacristán (Chinchón, 1937).
The event will be attended by the director of the Instituto Cervantes, Luis García Montero, and José Sacristán. The honorary witness will be Amparo Pascual, actress, academic, and wife of the honoree.
Following this, there will be a round table that will cover the life and professional trajectory of José Sacristán, with the participation of Natalia Menéndez, stage director, playwright, and cultural manager, and David Trueba, screenwriter, film director, and novelist.
José Sacristán has an impeccable career spanning more than six decades. He is an undeniable reference both for his interpretative versatility and for his unmistakable voice and cultural commitment.
During the 1970s, he emerged on the big screen as part of the successful group of comedy actors of the time alongside figures like Alfredo Landa. Later, the actor consolidated his status as a top-level dramatic actor during the Spanish Transition, starring in key films such as Asignatura pendiente or A man called Flor de Otoño. To this day, he remains fully active on theater stages, performing in the therapeutic and biographical play The son of the comedian, at the Teatro Bellas Artes in Madrid.
Free entry, with seat reservation at this link. The tribute can also be followed on the YouTube channel of the Institute.
