The Instituto Cercantes and Apple Music present ‘The best lyrics in Spanish’

The Instituto Cervantes presents the exhibition 'Las mejores letras en español'.

Composers such as José Luis Perales, Miguel Ríos, Rosana, Manolo García, Luz Casal, Manuel Alejandro, or Juan Carlos Calderón are featured in the exhibition.

On the occasion of Cervantes Week, the Instituto Cercantes of Madrid, in collaboration with Apple Music, presents next Wednesday, April 22 at 7 PM the exhibition The best lyrics in Spanish, which offers a journey through the literary power of the written word in the Spanish language through the lyrics of songs by Spanish authors from the 20th and 21st centuries.

The exhibition, which will be on display until June 21, will feature lyrical texts from the main musical authors of our language, such as José Luis Perales, Miguel Ríos, Rosana, Manolo García, Luz Casal, Manuel Alejandro, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Christina Rosenvinge, Valeria Castro, Mari Trini, Juan Carlos Calderón, Rocio Márquez or El Chojín, among others.

The exhibition invites you to read these lyrics as poetic and narrative texts, beyond their original context. A celebration of creativity, language, and the ability of words to evoke emotions, tell stories, and endure.

The event will feature the director of the Instituto Cercantes, Luis García Montero, a person from the Apple Music team, and other authors of the lyrics that are part of the exhibition. Afterward, the group Tulsa. will perform.
