Directed at Spanish filmmakers (both novice and amateur as well as professionals), the Centro cultural Coreano in Spain has opened the call for the 4th edition of its Short Film Contest, with freedom of theme and genre and the only requirement of including at least three seconds of Korean elements.
The contest offers as the main prize a trip to Korea, grants of up to 300 euros for the production of promotional content, and the possibility for the winner of the first prize to participate as a judge in future editions.
The registration period ends on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
This edition is an initiative that once again bets on audiovisual creativity as a bridge between Spain and Korea and seeks works capable of offering an original, personal, and contemporary view of the Korean universe.
Participants may submit pieces ranging from 30 seconds to 15 minutes, from short-form videos to short films. The theme and genre are free, with one condition: the work must include at least three seconds of Korean elements, whether through gastronomy, landscapes, people, places, objects, or artistic manifestations of Korea.
In addition to promoting new talents, the contest offers a particularly attractive experience for its winners. As prizes, the contest provides financial support for the creation of promotional content, with grants of up to 300 euros, and gives the winner of the first prize the opportunity to be part of the jury in future editions.
As information of interest for new users, registration will be free if, once registered on the platform, the “VIMEO link” option is selected in the work upload section.
With this new edition, the Centro cultural Coreano in Spain reinforces its commitment to promoting contemporary creation and bringing Korean culture closer to the Spanish public through cinema and audiovisual language.
