The Instituto Francés of Madrid presented on June 3rd the programming of Pride in French 2026 with an exceptional meeting alongside the French writer Fatima Daas.
A reference author of contemporary Francophone literature, Fatima Daas explores in her texts issues related to identity, sexuality, religion, and the feeling of belonging. This opening will mark the beginning of a month of LGBTQIA+ cultural celebrations throughout Spain.

Tomorrow Thursday at 8 PM, 15 Tests of Love, by Alice Douard. Within the cycle France is on screen, this film will be shown, with the presence of the director and actress Ella Rumpf.
The film tells the story of a couple of women who are expecting their first child and must face the administrative and emotional difficulties related to the legal recognition of non-biological motherhood. With sensitivity, humor, and social commitment, the film focuses on the inequalities that many same-sex families still experience.
On Saturday, June 20th, from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM, the Music Festival will take place with the collective Divin0, in the High Patio and café of the Institute. A great night of perreo, reggaeton, and queer culture alongside the Parisian collective Divin0. The party will feature a drag host, DJs, and dancers in an evening open to celebration, music, and diversity.
Finally, on June 26th at 7 PM, a Diverse Musical Cabaret will take place at the Institute Theater. The show Diverse, by Miguel-Ange Sarmiento, arrives at the Institute of Madrid with Carolina, a drag queen who shares stories of love, freedom, and self-acceptance on stage. Blending cabaret, humor, and live songs, the show proposes a sensitive and fun celebration of identity and the freedom to be oneself. The work received the Best Solo Performance Award at the OFF Festival of Avignon 2024.
